We are an Italian family from Brescia who, moved by a human and social purpose to help the most needy and marginalized, we arrived in Ecuador in 1977.

In Brescian dialect, the pronunciation of our surname Piovanelli gives origin to “EL PIOANEL“.

In the Ecuadorian Andes, at the base of the imposing volcano Cotopaxi, is the canton Pujilí, which enjoys a unique weather, where the capulí has found the ideal climate for its growth. In the Hacienda “San Nicolás”, with more than 300 years of history, is where EL PIOANEL has its facilities.

Nowadays, EL PIOANEL has been developing a unique liqueur in the world, the same that comes from a family recipe, which has been handed down from generation to generation. An elixir, with the highest quality standards, to provide a unique, exotic and unforgettable experience to those who try it.
